Summer 2009 Events Kicking Off

Outdoor Empowerment is gearing up for Summer 2009 and we have a lot in store. We hope to take day trips every Saturday. We will meet in front of Grewan Hall at Le Moyne College, Syracuse, NY. The time is not set, but more details will come shortly. The activities will range from group-building activities at Thordon Park in Syracuse to taking a Hike at Carpenter Falls in Skaneateles, NY. All activities are FREE and for youth ages 10 to 16 with parent or guardian permission.

OE, with the help of Le Moyne College and SUNY Cortland students, is providing mini-trainings at Hillbrook Youth Detention Facility every Sunday from 5 to 8PM. If you are interested in volunteering please e-mail info@outdoorempowerment.org**A background check is required.

Donate and Volunteer

Hi All,

Spring cleaning is here!! I am sure some of you are getting new gear and wanting to know what to do with your old stinky stuff hanging around. Well, why not donate it to a good cause such as, Outdoor Empowerment.

If you have gear or would like to volunteer in the Syracuse, NY area with youth at a local high school or dentition center please send an e-mail to nocellat@yahoo.com we really need the help! You do not have to be an expert; we are just looking for people that want to share something they know to youth in the Syracuse area, such as first aid, leaf identifying, setting up a tent, and assist group workshops.   Hope you have a great day.
